Abstract
Key words : reinsurance, Individual Protection, modeling, simulations, Monte Carlo, GLM, optimization, Solvency II As part of the implementation of a new reinsurance program in 2021, in particular within the scope of the Individual Protection of the BPCE bancassurer, it was decided to carry out an a priori and a posteriori effectiveness study of the new reinsurance plan, in order to judge its adequacy to the risk profile of the company. The a posteriori study consisted of the application of the 2021 reinsurance structure to the accounting data of past claims, allowing the calculation and analysis of a posteriori efficiency indicators. The interest of this study lies mainly in the fixed nature of the company’s experience data. To carry out the a priori study, claims charges were simulated by different risk and banking network perimeter on the Monte Carlo principle over a one-year horizon. By applying the 2021 reinsurance coverage, this modeling makes it possible to obtain a distribution of the efficiency indicators, gross and net of reinsurance, the consistency of which can be checked using historical data and the a posteriori study. The analysis of these indicators provided key information regarding the optimization of this plan for the year 2022. Therefore this thesis constitutes a decision-making aid and provides a critical view of the proposals provided by reinsurance brokers.
